For the first time ever the Department for Education has
-
Grey Coat Hospital School
published the amount that has been spent by every school per pupil, and the
results have produced some interesting facts, especially concerning one school
in Pimlico.
Greycoat Hospital School spent the lowest amount out of
every Westminster based secondary school - £6,488 on average – yet still
managed to achieve the highest GCSE grades in the borough.
90 per cent of the pupils, who took their exams last summer,
achieved five or more A*- C grades including English and maths. Grey Coat also
spent the lowest amount on teaching staff (£3,302 per pupil) and catering (£82
per pupil), whilst also spending the least on ICT and learning resources.
By comparison St George’s RC School in Maida Vale spent the
most in the borough (£7,662 per pupil) where 59 per cent of pupils achieved the
same level in GCSE’s.
We’d love to hear from you if you work at the school or
indeed if you or your child attends Greycoat Hospital School.
