Taxicards: Have your say
By James_Mass | Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 12:38
There will be two consultation meetings
held in the area soon to discuss ways in which the Taxicard service is
provided.
Taxicards is a service provided to people
with mobility needs who receive a reduced fare when journeying in black cabs.
Those who require more dependency with mobility are able to apply for extra
journeys on top of the 70 journeys that everyone is eligible for.
Money needs to be saved on the Taxicard
service that is provided, hence the reasoning behind the scheduled consultation
meetings. This is a great chance to get your opinions and ideas across on the
best ways to achieve this in a way that benefits everyone in the community.
The first meeting will take place tomorrow,
12th May, at The Abbey Community Centre on Great Smith Street, SW1P
3BU. Get there for 4pm; it will end at 6pm.
The second meeting will be on Monday 23rd
May at the Westminster City Council Hall on Victoria Street, SW1E 6QP. Same
times as above.
