The Wallace Collection is displaying a set of silver inscribed boxes belonging to the Past Overseers' Society, Westminster. The Society was founded in 1915 and originated in the overseers of the poor appointed in each ecclesiastical parish from 1601 to 1834 to administer the poor rate.
