Many of us will have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this Bank Holiday and will have made plans for it long ago but, in case you haven't, here are some suggestions for things you can look forward to in Pimlico.
-
Tate Britain has a lot to offer on the Bank Holiday

Why not head down to Westminster Boating Base this Bank Holiday?
Tate Britain have got some exhibitions well worth checking out, each of which runs until September, so this weekend would be the perfect time to visit them before their time runs out. These exhibitions include The Vorticists: Manifesto for a Modern World, Art Now: Corin Sworn, and a Special Display from Lucian Freud.
The sunshine should (fingers crossed) be out this weekend so why not make the most of it by getting out onto the river with the Westminster Boating Base. This weekend there's a Kayak Fun Day, a Sail Racing Regatta and a Summer BBQ on the Monday.
Want to entertain your youngster? The Pimlico Library are hosting a Wiggle & Jiggle on Monday morning, which involves music and movement for toddlers, followed by the Baby Bounce & Rhyme, which involves songs for babies aged between three months and 12 months.
And of course there's the Notting Hill Carnival which many people plan to attend. It's not local obviously but DreamArts are; they run Saturday workshops at Pimlico Academy and the talented team have put together a brand-spanking new show that is definitely worth getting tickets for - Carnival The Musical. Visit the website to find out more and book your tickets for the unmissable show between 2-7 September.
