A second contract in London has been secured by Shepherd Construction's with Pantelli Associates. This time it's a 1.38 million contract on a four-storey warehouse on Douglas Street, Pimlico. They plan to convert the warehouse into 10 apartments.
The first contract Shepherd Construction secured with Pantelli Associates was a £27 million deal last year for the construction of 27 new luxury apartments on Park Road, close to Regent's Park. These have a completion date set for 2013.
Work on the Pimlico warehouse is set to go ahead soon and is set as a 29-week project. Plans include excavating a deeper basement which will create space for a triple car-stacking system, a central lift core that will be wrapped by a staircase, and repair work to fabric and external finishes of the façade.
Shepherd Construction have offices in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Darlington, as well as a head office in York. Other contracts they have include a £58 million new school in Holland Park and a £110 million deal for new facilities at the Institute for Animal Health in Surrey.
