A protest was staged in Pimlico yesterday outside the home of Transport Secretary Philip Hammond

Disgruntled railway workers staged the protest against the rise in rail fare and the losses of jobs. Led by the deputy leader of the Transport Salaried Staffs Association, Manuel Cortes, the protesters held up placards and posted leaflets explaining why the union believed the policies were harmful to Britain's public transport through doors in the area.

The union members wanted to question Mr Hammond about the plans to raise fares come the new year as well as interrogate him about the ticket office closures.

Did you see the protesters yesterday? Were you a neighbour who received a leaflet through the door? What's your opinion on this? Let us know your views.
