Tina-Sharlotte Parry landed herself one of the rare 26 places aimed at 16 to 18-year-old London state-school students and has much to look forward to.
She, along with her peers, will benefit from touring the newsrooms at The Times as well as the studios at the BBC and Reuters. The pupils will also be involved in workshops in Canary Wharf.
Each of the pupils must blog about their experience of the summer school and the best two bloggers will win further coveted places in work placements at The Times.
