An helicopter hit a crane at One St.George Wharf at about 8 a.m. on the 16th January.  A spokesperson for Transport for London  said: "Road users are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes....We are working closely with the emergency services, who are responding to the incident."                                                                                                                                    Roads around Nine Elms Lane,  west of the crash site, and the end of Wandsworth Road, just before Vauxhall Bridge were still closed in the evening. Traffic on the Chelsea Bridge was slow moving compounded by an accident on Chelsea Bridge Road, which created further problems for road users.  Traffic  travelling south and east  towards  Brixton created traffic jams on minor roads as far as Stockwell.                                                                                                                                                               Road users and passengers can get up-to-the-minute travel information by following @tfltravelalerts, @tfltrafficnews and @tflbusalerts on Twitter.
