Emirates Air Line - closed for essential  planned maintenance work for one week from Monday 18 March to Sunday 24 March inclusive and will open as normal from Monday 25 March

Edgware Road (Bakerloo line) station will have reduced opening hours from Saturday 23 March until Saturday 6 April for vital preparatory work for new lifts to be installed

If travelling on Saturday 23, or Sunday 24 March, please check before you travel to see if your journey is affected.  Passengers can check before travelling using the following tools:

There are no planned track works on the Bakerloo, Circle, Jubilee, Piccadilly, Victoria or Waterloo & City lines.

 

London Underground

 

While preparatory work is being carried out for new lifts to be installed at Edgware Road (Bakerloo line) station, the station will close at 10pm from Saturday 23 March until Saturday 6 April inclusive, opening every day during that fortnight at 6.30am, except Sundays when it will open at 7.20am.

 

The Central line will be suspended all weekend between Liverpool Street and Grange Hill via Newbury Park, due to track replacement work in the Leyton area.

 

The District line will be suspended all weekend between Dagenham East and Upminster. Early on Saturday morning until 7am the District line will be suspended from Plaistow to Upminster eastbound and Upminster to Barking westbound. This is due to drainage improvement work at Hornchurch and Network Rail engineering work on the adjacent c2c lines at Upminster.

 

The Hammersmith & City line will be suspended early on Saturday morning until 7am between Plaistow and Barking eastbound due to drainage improvement work and Network Rail engineering work.

 

The Metropolitan line will be suspended all weekend between Moor Park and Amersham/Chesham due to embankment stabilization and bridge maintenance work at Chorleywood.

 

The Northern line will be suspended all weekend between Hampstead and Edgware due to works to install a new signalling system on the line.

 

Emirates Air Line

The Emirates Air Line will be closed for essential planned maintenance work for one week from Monday 18 March to Sunday 24 March inclusive. It will open as normal on Monday 25 March.

 

London Overground

Surrey Quays - Clapham Junction

London Overground services will be suspended early on Sunday morning until 8.15am northbound only from Clapham Junction to Surrey Quays due to Network Rail track work.

 

DLR

The DLR will be suspended all weekend between Stratford International and Beckton due to track maintenance work and Crossrail engineering works taking place at Custom House.

 

London Tramlink

 

Essential work will be carried out on the westbound tram stop platform at Lloyd Park throughout the weekend, which will mean that trams to Wimbledon will run through without stopping. Trams towards New Addington will not be affected and the timetable will be as normal.

 

Passengers wishing to travel from Lloyd Park towards Croydon and Wimbledon should take a New Addington tram from the opposite platform and change to a Wimbledon tram at Coombe Lane.

 

Passengers travelling to Lloyd Park from the New Addington area should remain on the tram until Sandilands and change there to a New Addington tram from the opposite platform to return to Lloyd Park.

 

Roads

 

New Cross Road/A2 at the junction of Amersham Road

Bridge repairs will mean the A2 New Cross Road will be closed eastbound between Amersham Road and Amersham Vale across the weekend. Motorists are advised to avoid the area because there are likely to be delays.

 

Road works at Knightsbridge at Scotch Corner

Motorists are advised to avoid the Knightsbridge area if they can between 8am on Saturday 23 March through to 5am on Monday 25 March, as there are various closures both eastbound and westbound direction in order to carry out road works.

 

FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon

 

Wembley Stadium will be hosting the FA trophy final with a kick off at 3pm on Sunday.  Motorists are advised that there are likely to be an increase in traffic levels in the Wembley area in the lead up to the game and after it has concluded until about 7pm. Roads particularly affected will be the A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

 

Hammersmith Broadway / A219 At the junction of King Street / A315

 

Motorists are advised to avoid Hammersmith Broadway if they can from Monday 25 March until May 2013 as lane cause restrictions will be in place due to BT works.
